Head Shots
A great head shot can make the difference between getting noticed and having the casting director keep flipping through images. A great image not only has good lighting, but also shows your personality. As the saying goes, the eyes are the windows to the soul. If this is your first or your hundredth head shot session we'll help you bring out the best. Our studio has been producing fantastic head shots for the past three years working closely with local talent agencies & getting feedback on what's the new trends and what images are getting noticed more.
Tips for your Head Shot Session
- If its your first time, we know you'll probably be a little bit nervous, head shots don't hurt, but they are better if you are relaxed.
- Don't worry about pants/shoes. We're focusing on your face. Most shots are chest or higher.
- Come with an everyday hair & makeup look. They don't want to see your glamour shot, just who you really are.
- Professional makeup can make a big difference. Just ask, I have a few fantastic MUA's on staff that can do your makeup for you.
- If you're not sure about how your makeup will look, snap some pictures of yourself with a flash to see. Studio strobe lights are slightly different in color than natural light.
- Bring a few changes of clothes ranging from casual everyday, to business, to Sunday best.
- Make sure you don't choose any busy patterns, bright/loud colors, or shirts with large logos.
- We want them looking at your face, not your shirt.
- Last but not least, have fun! The more fun we can have the more it will show in your images.
